Google's Teach From Home Hub facility for Pakistani students
Numerous educational institutions around the world are closed
due to the new Novel Corona virus disease COVID 19 and it is not yet known when
they will be able to reopen.
As a result, a large number of students around the world
cannot go to educational institutions. The situation is similar in Pakistan and
most of the institutions have faced such situations for the first time.
To this end, Google has developed a teaching tool for
Pakistan called Teach from Home, which contains information, advice, training
and tools available on Google for Education to help teachers engage in their
educational activities. Online help can be provided.
These tools are:
Writing continues
Training materials on how to get started.
The best way to teach a lesson with or without video call.
Tips for building and engaging communities, and a
step-by-step tutorial from the home toolkit that can be downloaded.
In addition, schools and other educational institutions can
use the premium features of Google Meet video conferencing for free until
September 30, 2020. These features include the ability to contact up to 250
people in a single call, record lessons and even stream live.
Google's G Suite for Education is also free for qualified
educational institutions. Educational institutions that have not yet signed up
can sign up by following this link where there is also a guide to creating an
educational institution account and creating a domain.
Currently, Teach From Home is available in English, while
toolkits are available in 18 languages, and these toolkits can be downloaded.
More languages will be added soon.
